Salty’s 50th

JC took us on a “smash and drink” last night – Salty’s 50th birthday party in Somerset, near Weston-Super-Mare. Becase of the traffic (3 1/2 hours to get there), we didn’t get to the pub until 9 which shut at 12 so it was back to the Brithday Boy’s to drink for some of his whiskey. So a bit slow today as June’s car is playing up so even with the hammer down the damn thing wouldn’t do more than 70.

Great night out though and well worth the trip down. Some real messing about as we did when we were 21! June was complaining that JC was trying to go to the en suite through the wrong door – 3 times! No change there then in 30 years.

Anyway, next up is my Birthday I think on the 8th June, but the party will be on the 5th as thats the best Saturday – the World Cup starts on the 11th. It’ll be in the Village somewhere so book the date now and no excuses unless you’re:

  • Pregnant about to drop
  • In hospital or suffering a life endangering condition
  • You’re playing for England

If you’re holding your 50th and I’m invited, let me know as this year is the year of 50 parties and we’ve had 2 already.
